Join Edgardo G. as he goes searching for the footprints of Puerto Rican heritage here Washington D.C.

On this audio tour of the District, you'll learn about everything from traditional Puerto Rican music to the 1954 shooting conducted by Puerto Rican nationalist Lolita Lebrón. Edgardo created this audio piece using the skills he learned at the Audio Storytelling Workshop taught at the MLK Digital Commons.

Bikecast: DCPL Celebrates National Bike Month

DC Punk History at DCPL

Join Maggie, Michele and Anne as they discuss D.C.'s rich punk history.

Maggie tells us about this month's Book Club with a Beat pick, "Dance of Days: Two Decades of Punk In the Nation's Capital," while Michele talks about DC Public Library Special Collections and her efforts to preserve DC Punk history. Anne chimes in with her favorite Punk fiction novel, "A Visit From the Goon Squad." We even listen to a few DC punk classics!
